A mouth-watering sparkling white obtained from a blend of Malvasia di Candia Aromatica and Ortrugo and a small balance of local white grapes. Immediate pressing of the grapes and maceration on the skins for 15 days. Maturation throughout the winter on the fine lees in steel containers. In spring the wine is bottled with the residual sugars from the first fermentation; the first warmth reactivates the yeasts that complete fermentation and give the wine that natural effervescence so delicate and unobtrusive. A wine emblematic of the territory and a staple of tradition.

The charm of ancient Terroir

My father Emilio was born in 1943 in Lugagnano, Val d'Arda, and followed his family to this property, in the hills of Carpaneto Piacentino, when he was five years old. Of the six siblings, he is the one who has always stayed here, to continue with my mother the business that used to belong to my grandfather and grandmother.

We have always made wine, which we used to sell first in demijohns and then in bottles, but ours has never been a wine-growing business: until the 1990s my parents had a stable with dairy cows, and in the fields we grew cereals and fodder to feed the animals.

In 2006, when we renovated the premises that house the winery, a generational change also started and I joined my parents: since that year, for the first time, the label of our wines shows the small farming village that my family has been taking care of for almost eighty years.
