Vitovska is produced in only 2,500 bottles and represents Marko Fon's largest annual production!
On the red soils of the Karst, carrying out any agricultural activity is an arduous task; it depends a lot on how much land availability one has above the mother rock. That is why each plant is managed, pruned and conducted individually, in a painstaking, one might say tailor-made job.
Wine of great territorial adherence: savory, rocky, with great persistence. As Marko says: “Vitovska more than Malvasia or Teran, it takes from the soil...”. That must be why in addition to the fruity hints of apricot and orange, the scent of broom and the sea, Marko's Vitoska is textural, with hints of stone, almost hydrocarbon, sometimes it is fat as texture but always great drinking!

Marko Fon coltiva 4 ettari di vigne a Komen, un piccolo paese del Carso in Slovenia. I terreni sono calcarei e argillosi tipici della zona, che favoriscono alte concentrazioni minerali.
In vigna si cerca di ridurre i trattamenti al minimo indispensabile, si evitano tutti i prodotti sistemici (insetticidi,diserbanti, concimi chimici); viene usato solo il rame, anche se sta valutando la possibilità di eliminarlo.
