Experience the purest expression of the region. The Gran Selezione represents the pinnacle of the quality pyramid—a zoning project designed to fully narrate the diverse terroirs of Chianti Classico. These are 100% Sangiovese single-vineyard wines. This box is a deep dive into unique micro-climates, revealing the diversity and excellence of pure Sangiovese.
Istine presents three labels from three different Cru vineyards, each with its own unmistakable personality:

Vigna Casanova dell’Aia (Intensity) Hailing from a north-facing vineyard, this wine offers impressive complexity and depth. Rich, structured, and with a dense tannic texture, Casanova dell’Aia is the most muscular and powerful of the trio, while always maintaining Istine’s signature elegance.

Vigna Cavarchione (Balance) Located in Castellina in Chianti, this Cru is the perfect bridge between finesse and power. It offers an extraordinarily harmonious Chianti Classico, with ripe fruit notes, intriguing spices, and an enveloping palate that invites the next sip.

Le Vigne Riserva (The Vision) Grapes are selected exclusively from the Istine, Casanova dell’Aia, and Cavarchione vineyards. A fabulous blend of the three estates, it is an elegant and important wine where silky tannins meet a constant, dense mineral note.

Istine
A Family Story
The story of Istine is a blend of tradition and entrepreneurial spirit. Its roots lie in the Fronti family's passion for the land.
It all began in 1959 when Bruno Fronti founded a company providing agricultural services. After years of experience in the winemaking world, the family decided to cultivate their own vineyards. In 1982, the first plots of land were acquired, and today the winery manages about 20 hectares, spread across Radda in Chianti and Gaiole in Chianti. This "mosaic" style of cultivation, with separate parcels, gives each plot of land its own unique identity.
For a long time, the grapes were sold to other wineries, but the desire to tell their own story led to a change. With the 2009 vintage, the winery bottled its first wine, marking the beginning of a new era with its own label.
