Rorippa is considered an "experimental" project. It all began in 2017 when Martina was gifted an abandoned vineyard that her grandfather, Nino, had left untouched for several years. She took on the challenge of restoring these sixty-year-old vines while ensuring they were never denatured. The vineyard is located in a particularly breezy area, naturally sheltered by trees and wild bushes; thanks to this unique microclimate, no intervention with products outside of our corporate philosophy was needed to combat vine diseases. Following the harvest—carried out strictly by hand in small crates to keep the berries intact—the grapes are destemmed and left to macerate for about 6 months in amphorae, extracting the most characteristic notes of the fruit and its vintage. Finally, "Rorippa" is bottled only when it is truly ready to begin its journey to your table.

Fresh, aromatic, and incredibly fruity. The wonderful oxymoron of this wine is that despite its body, aromatic complexity, and the long story it tells in the glass, it remains an eminently drinkable wine through and through.

From the producer

Lusenti

The Lusenti winery, located in the heart of Val Tidone on the Piacenza hills, represents a perfect marriage between deep-rooted farming dedication and a contemporary oenological vision. Led by Lodovica Lusenti and her daughter Martina, the estate cultivates twenty hectares of vineyards under certified organic management, enhancing a unique clayey terroir through the respect for biodiversity and the use of native grape varieties such as Malvasia di Candia Aromatica, Ortrugo, Barbera, and Croatina. Every bottle is the result of a minimalist winemaking approach that preserves the integrity of the fruit, telling the story of the most authentic soul of an ancient land that is steadily looking toward the future.
