Sangiovese Acciaio 2023 Vino Rosso
Perugia
This is 100% Sangiovese (large-berried clone) from vines planted in 2011, 2016, and 2022.
It's destemmed and then macerated whole-berry for 10-15 days, followed by 10 months in stainless steel.
The nose is classic Sangiovese with violet, a slight metallic note, and juicy, crisp plum and ripe cherry fruit.
A "snack-time" Sangiovese! A fun game, as the label suggests. It finishes with undergrowth and red fruit. Truly good, pure energy!
Andrea Paffarini
The Paffarini winery was established not far from the walls of the distinctive 13th-century circular castle of Ripa, a small village situated 313 meters above sea level and about 14 km from Perugia.
For four generations, the family has cultivated vines and olive trees on this land.
The young estate spans approximately 10 hectares, with 4 hectares dedicated to vines. The vineyards are located on sun-kissed hills, bathed in sunlight from dawn till dusk, and characterized by a mild and breezy climate.
