I Mattaioni's new super wine was born from a singular discovery: "We found among the Sangiovese vines around three rows that seemed "strange," analyzed them and discovered they were Teroldego. We immediately saw an opportunity to think of a lighter red taking inspiration from the Beaujolais we love so much, hence the name "Nimmezzo" or a drink that had the structure of a red and the freshness of a rosé.

So, we harvested the Teroldego between late August and early September and used it to make the pied de cuve, with which we then start the fermentation of the Sangiovese, which takes place spontaneously in 40 hl cement, short aging in steel and then bottle."

Nimmezzo is a concentrate of enjoyability, incredible fruit and very fast drinking. An atypical and juicy Toscano!
