Producer: Ezio Trinchero
Bianco 24 Vino Bianco
Agliano Terme, Asti
Ezio Trinchero is a legendary producer renowned for his fantastic Barberas, but his white wine represents a true unicum. It is crafted from a blend of various native varieties from the Asti region. The wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation with an extended 35-day maceration on the skins.
An atypical wine that reveals a profound and textural character on the palate. Notes of yellow-fleshed fruits, particularly apricot, blend with forest-floor sensations of mushrooms and musk, leading to a long finish with a distinct hint of honey.
*In accordance with Law 238/2016, which prohibits the indication of grape varieties for wines without a protected designation of origin, the names of the varieties cannot be listed.
Ezio Trinchero
The Trinchero family has owned this winery since the 1920s; we are in Agliano Terme in the province of Asti, and Barbera of the highest quality has always been grown here. Trinchero was the first winery in Italy to produce and market Barbera for long aging, following the intuition to make wines of great complexity and depth with this once underrated grape.
The highly suitable territory certainly helps, as does the fact of working with almost all old vines, as in the case of the "Vigna del Noce" from which the wine of the same name is made, with plants planted in 1929.
Organic work in the field and a lot of care and cleanliness in the cellar create wines with a wide and deep breath. Rarely does one taste Barbera like this!
The winery is part of the Vini Veri consortium.
