Barslina 2020 Barbera d'Asti DOCG
Agliano Terme, Asti
Powerful and sanguine Barbera, rich in color and characterized by lots of fruit with blackberry and black cherry, which is accompanied by earthier notes with smells of mushrooms and underbrush.
The sip is vital and juicy, despite a non-trivial alcohol content and a density of long aging wine. In the mouth it is a sincere wine, with an important acidity that is never excessive harshness, but is necessary to make the wine fragrant and enjoyable. Very long closure.
The Trinchero family has owned this winery since the 1920s; we are in Agliano Terme in the province of Asti, and Barbera of the highest quality has always been grown here. Trinchero was the first winery in Italy to produce and market Barbera for long aging, following the intuition to make wines of great complexity and depth with this once underrated grape.
The highly suitable territory certainly helps, as does the fact of working with almost all old vines, as in the case of the "Vigna del Noce" from which the wine of the same name is made, with plants planted in 1929.
Organic work in the field and a lot of care and cleanliness in the cellar create wines with a wide and deep breath. Rarely does one taste Barbera like this!
The winery is part of the Vini Veri consortium.
