Located in the heart of Western Sicily between Alcamo and Camporeale, Elios is the brainchild of Nicola Adamo and Guido Grillo—two friends who chose to return to the land to rewrite the rules of tradition. With a dynamic approach and deep respect for the ecosystem, Elios manages approximately 15 hectares of vineyards, olive groves, and citrus orchards, strictly following organic farming practices.

Their philosophy is built on minimal intervention both in the field and the cellar: the goal is to produce natural, wholesome wines free from invasive manipulations. These wines act as authentic storytellers of a unique terroir, where the warmth of the Sicilian sun meets the freshness of the highlands and the briny character of sea winds

A Change of direction

"The beginning of our project was far from simple. We placed a bet on our land and dared to do something unconventional for our area.

Virtually everyone in our province (Trapani) is a major grape grower, but not a winemaker. Nowadays, no one wants to risk a single Euro on wine production. Growers prefer the security of selling their grapes—even at low prices—to large industrial wineries, rather than taking the leap to build their own market. It is a life lived in a comfort zone, yet one defined by cyclical complaints about low prices and a low-profit agricultural model."

The Elios team chose to break away from this cycle to find their own path. By applying a minimal-intervention winemaking process to the same grapes that were once sold off to big corporations, they finally gave the fruit a chance to truly express itself and reclaim its lost dignity.
