Grape variety: Canaiolo
Vinification: grapes are vinified together, 48-hour prefermentative fermentation, followed by punching down and pumping over every 6 hours until the end of fermentation. Postfermentative maceration for a few days and finally batonnages sur lies for 6 months
Aging: In 10 Hl French oak barrels, then 6 months in bottle.
Allergens: contiene solfitiAliter is a fine, structured wine from old clones of Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Malvasia Nera.
The three grape varieties are harvested and vinified together at the same time. Pre-fermentation maceration is carried out for 48 hours, followed by punching down and pumping over every 6 hours for about 20 days until fermentation is complete, then post-fermentation maceration for a few days.
The finished wine matures in French oak barrels for 6 months followed by a further 6 months in bottles before release.
On the palate, notes of wild fruits, blackberry and black cherry, hints of dried rose accompanied by hints of spices, herbs and undergrowth. Round mouthfeel with a gentle freshness and pleasant minerality, calibrated tannins and a pleasant and sufficiently long finish.

Podere Casaccia
Il Podere Casaccia è situato sulle colline di Scandicci, a pochi km da Firenze, con circa 12 ettari tra bosco, ulivi e vigne. Le vigne,coltivate con metodo biodinamico, hanno un’età che va dai 40 ai 50 anni, costituite in gran parte da vecchi cloni di sangiovese e molti altri vitigni autoctoni toscani come Canaiolo, Malvasia Nera, Pugnitello e Foglia Tonda.
