Priscus is a 100% old clones of Sangiovese, from mass selection of old Sangiovese types from the old vineyards of the 1960s, when Sangiovese was still a varietal that produced wines that were not overly colored and had non-aggressive tannins.

The taste is striking with floral notes of iris and sweet fresh fruit, fine spice, herbs and slight animal notes. Soft, fresh and mineral mouthfeel, hints of crunchy fruit and aromatics that perfectly match the nose. Good persistence supported by soft and elegant tannins that leave a decidedly soft and silky finish.

Podere Casaccia

Il Podere Casaccia è situato sulle colline di Scandicci, a pochi km da Firenze, con circa 12 ettari tra bosco, ulivi e vigne. Le vigne,coltivate con metodo biodinamico, hanno un’età che va dai 40 ai 50 anni, costituite in gran parte da vecchi cloni di sangiovese e molti altri vitigni autoctoni toscani come Canaiolo, Malvasia Nera, Pugnitello e Foglia Tonda.
