Grape variety: Nebbiolo

Vinification: crushing and destemming of the grapes in stainless steel tanks. Maceration of the must in contact with the skins continues for at least one month, with light and delicate pumping over and punching down performed manually. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks.

Aging: After a year in steel tanks, the wine is transferred to 500-liter second-passage tonneaux. Here the wine was aged and evolved for 18 months. Subsequently, the wine was stored for the next 6 months in steel

Nebbiolo grapes cultivated in the Novello area, more precisely in the Cerviano-Merli MGA.

A still very young wine, which already has in its power the characteristics of a great wine for ageing. In the glass it is garnet red with brilliant orange reflections, and on the nose it expresses complex aromas, with persistent and intense aromas. Notes of small red berries are followed by floral notes of violet and iris. The citrus part of bitter orange and spicy notes close the bouquet.

In the mouth it is intense and rich, with an excellent freshness due to the vintage. Rose hip, tangerine peel, pink grapefruit characterise the tonic verve of this vintage. This is followed by the fruity flesh that stands out with a flavour of wild strawberries and blueberries.

The finish is long and persistent, juicy and lively. What a drop!

Cogli L'Attimo

Cogli l'Attimo (Seize the Moment) is the emerging project of Serena Anselma, a very young producer in Novello, one of the eleven municipalities producing Barolo.

"I recently opened my winery, recovering my grandparents' land. My production is small, just a few bottles (about 15,000), but with a lot of quality."

A wonderful new-entry in the Langa panorama. Serena, despite a career in language teaching, has always had the dream of making wine from the old family vineyards. Before her, the grapes were always sold.

Cogli l'Attimo is a small reality that will soon be talked about for the beauty of the wines produced by Serena, elegant and luminous bottles where the classic grapes of the area amaze with their clarity of taste and precision. Special mention for the Barolo Cerviano-Merli of great elegance and the two versions of Nascetta, a rare white grape variety recently recovered, proposed in direct pressing and macerated.

An explosive project, just like Serena of great energy and directness.
