Grape variety: Nascetta

Vinification: Grape crushing and destemming, using dry ice to lower the temperature and saturate the steel tank. Maceration of the must in contact with the skins for at least two days. Spontaneous fermentation in steel.

Aging: Remains on fine lees for 12 months in steel, with frequent bâttonage. This is followed by a period of further aging in bottle.

Serving temperature: 10-12° C

100% Nascetta grapes with only 2 days of maceration. As simple and light in taste as it is gritty and characterful in touch.

The long soak on fine lees gives incisiveness and substance. The nose is very refined with aromas of white flowers such as chamomile and lime, orange blossom and acacia, aromatic herbs and lemon peel. On the palate it is savoury, tasty and sharp. A straightforward and long wine with excellent sapidity and minerality. Long and engaging, an excellent first time with Nascetta!

Cogli L'Attimo

Cogli l'Attimo (Seize the Moment) is the emerging project of Serena Anselma, a very young producer in Novello, one of the eleven municipalities producing Barolo.

"I recently opened my winery, recovering my grandparents' land. My production is small, just a few bottles (about 15,000), but with a lot of quality."

A wonderful new-entry in the Langa panorama. Serena, despite a career in language teaching, has always had the dream of making wine from the old family vineyards. Before her, the grapes were always sold.

Cogli l'Attimo is a small reality that will soon be talked about for the beauty of the wines produced by Serena, elegant and luminous bottles where the classic grapes of the area amaze with their clarity of taste and precision. Special mention for the Barolo Cerviano-Merli of great elegance and the two versions of Nascetta, a rare white grape variety recently recovered, proposed in direct pressing and macerated.

An explosive project, just like Serena of great energy and directness.
