Rebel Rebel Vino Bianco
Carema, Torino
Native white grape variety, harvested by hand after selection in the vineyard when physiological maturity is reached. Spontaneous fermentation in partly new wooden barrels with subsequent aging on the lees in the same containers for 10 months. After bottling, the wine is put to rest in a historic "balmetto" from 1805, produced in only 900 bottles.
"Rebel Rebel is meant to be our tribute to all those who have the courage to listen to themselves, those who listen and follow the call of the soul. An interpretation of wine born to satisfy our personal taste, the child of our culture and experience" Michele & Matteo Melfa
Sopravvento
First wine from the Melfa brothers, first wine from Sopravvento. Of this project we were struck above all by the story from which it was born (you can find it on the producer page), as for "Changes" the tasting left us in no doubt, we are faced with a glass that returns a faithful and sober expression of the place.
On the nose, hints of mimosa and chamomile stand out with notes of hay to complete the herbaceous part. Then it increases in volume with a balsamic stretch of resin and a pulpy, ripe apricot that we also find in the mouth. Taut and rightly tannic, it is a sip that satisfies for structure but also essentiality.
