The Velius Rosso Asciutto 2022 from Podere Pradarolo is a vibrant and expressive red that captures the spirit of Emilia-Romagna’s Colli di Parma hills.

Made from 100% Barbera, grown organically and harvested by hand, the wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and a short maceration on the skins. Aged in steel and bottled without fining or filtration, it shows the purity and liveliness typical of winemaker Alberto Carretti’s approach.

In the glass, it’s bright and juicy with notes of red cherry, blackberry, wild herbs, and subtle spice, framed by fresh acidity and a dry (“asciutto”) mineral finish. A clean, energetic take on Barbera — rustic yet beautifully balanced.
