Producer: Podere Pradarolo
Vej Bianco Cuvee Brut
Varano de Melegari, Parma
Podere Pradarolo Vej Bianco Antico Metodo Classico Brut (2017/2018 base) is a skin contact (orange) sparkling wine made from 100% Malvasia di Candia Aromatica grown on in Località Pradarolo, Varano de' Melegari, in the hills surrounding Parma, Emilia-Romagna, Northern Italy.
Vej Bianco Antico is made from organic grapes, which undergo 90 days of maceration on the skins. Fermentation is spontaneous with native yeast, the wine is bottled unfined, unfiltered, with no added sulfites.
A wine of unique depth, where the aromatic profile is perfectly balanced by a saline note that carries through from start to finish. Without a doubt, it stands as one of the finest Italian Metodo Classico wines.
Podere Pradarolo
Podere Pradarolo in Varano de' Melegari is more than just a historic winery in the Emilian landscape; it is the story of a profound bond between man and land, cultivated with passion by Alberto and Claudia in the heart of the Val di Ceno.
"In this corner of the Parma province, our philosophy strips away the superfluous to return to the essential: we manage our vineyards with a strictly organic approach, respecting the rhythms of nature and the soil's biodiversity. Those who step through the doors of the Podere enter an authentic dimension, where hospitality feels like home and every choice — from the recovery of ancient native grape varieties like Termarina to the artisanal care of every row — is guided by the desire to leave a sustainable and sincere mark for future generations."
