Vino Rosso 24
Dogliani, Cuneo
This 2024 Vino Rosso is a 100% B*****a born in the heart of Piedmont, specifically in Valdibà (Dogliani), where 70-year-old historic vineyards grown on limestone-clay soils at an altitude of 370 meters above sea level ensure an exclusive yield of 50 q/ha. The manual harvest in October precedes a respectful, artisanal winemaking process characterized by spontaneous fermentation using a pied de cuve, 12 days of skin maceration, and 8 months of aging in stainless steel and amphora. From a sensory perspective, the wine visually displays a beautiful ruby red color with violet reflections, leading into a fresh nose of red cherry, raspberry, and spicy undertones of violet, while the palate reveals itself to be food-friendly, versatile, and medium-bodied, with soft tannins and a lively acidity. Excellent to drink now or after short-term aging!
Tommaso Cappa
Tommaso and Agnese—a winemaker and an architect united by their passion for a land they have learned to cultivate and love.
Originally from Turin, in 2020, after gaining knowledge and experience around the world, they decided to start a winemaking project in Dogliani, thanks to a small vineyard of Dolcetto and Barbera. Over the years, step by step, they have grown to produce nearly 10,000 bottles.
For them, wine is an expression of the land that nourishes it and of the work done in the vineyard and the cellar, where they have always engaged in non-invasive farming practices aimed at improving the surrounding habitat and environment.
The "borgata" (hamlet) is located on the Valdibà hill, one of the last hills of Dogliani before entering the Alta Langa, and features three houses and a winery. "We started from a small 40-square-meter cellar; today, we are building a new space for our wines in the hamlet's ancient barn."
