A tiny piece of land of just 0.15 hectares, hidden in the hills of Gattaia, 500 metres above sea level in the Mugello hills. A very special Riesling is born here, where the soil is a mixture of silt, clay and limestone, and where sandstone and schist tell very ancient stories.

From a mass selection from Moselle, and with a production limited to only 400 bottles, this wine is a little treasure. The grapes are vinified with spontaneous fermentation and a short 48-hour maceration on the skins, and then rest in 300-litre barrels for 18 months.

To which is added a further year in the bottle. A wait worth every sip, promise!
