The Valchyara farm was founded in 2017 with the intention of recovering the historic Erbaluce and Nebbiolo vineyards, present since the late 1800s on the steep terraces bordered by dry stone walls, in Valchiusella in the morainic amphitheater of Ivrea.

2.3 ha worked biodynamically where the varieties present, in addition to the aforementioned Erbaluce and Nebbiolo, are the indigenous Croatina, Freisa and a small amount of Riesling.

“We believe in the applied principles of biodynamic agriculture and are accomplished beekeepers. We consider ourselves custodians of wild, unspoiled and sincere beauty, a nature rich in forests, moraine lakes, streams, natural pools and wild animals.

We intervene as little as possible (both in the vineyard and in the winery) on the one ingredient we put into the bottle, leaving as much room as possible for the natural expression of the Valchiusella grapes, which have become our beautiful home.” Costantino
