Bambagia Vino Rosato
Lugnacco, Torino
Bambagia is the rosé by Valchyara. Only 900 bottles of pure, unadulterated fruit.
A blend of red grapes and a tiny portion of white grapes from a vineyard planted in 1990 at 430 meters above sea level in Val di Chy. The soils are morainic and sub-acidic with a south-east exposure.
On the nose, it reveals red pomegranate, wild herbs, and a hint of spice.
On the palate, it is enveloping and deep, with earthy and forest notes. The entry is soft, but it quickly becomes tense and saline. A rosé that knows how to be both suave and powerful at the same time—a standout example of the modern rosé movement. A wine for the curious and for the gourmand!
Don't let its drinkability fool you: this wine is fun, but it’s also very serious!
Valchyara
The Valchyara farm was founded in 2017 with the intention of recovering the historic Erbaluce and Nebbiolo vineyards, present since the late 1800s on the steep terraces bordered by dry stone walls, in Valchiusella in the morainic amphitheater of Ivrea.
2.3 ha worked biodynamically where the varieties present, in addition to the aforementioned Erbaluce and Nebbiolo, are the indigenous Croatina, Freisa and a small amount of Riesling.
